possible major problems with my lude :scaredtoss:

heard a few strange noises after coming home from work yesterday, then this morning when i started the car i just knew something didnt sound right

and now the following vid is how it sounds now.

i am hoping that its the crankshaft pulley as you can see a slight wobble off of it(this is the used one i got from Lude Dude) but its that noise thats puttin the shitters up me

possible bottom end damage?

HELP!!!!

I've not had a pulley go on my Prelude yet, but when it went on the missus BMW, that's exactly how it sounded. You can see a little movement in the vid, bu hard to see how bad.

Jack up the passenger side, take the wheel off and check the movement from the access hole with and without the engine running.

In the grand scheme of that noise, you'll want it to be a pulley problem.

your not wrong mate

the pulley went before ,the movement was a lot worse but the ticking i cant remember

iv just got thoughts of imminent bottom end carnage and major dollars to fix it

no problem
if it helps any ive got an old 4th gen crank pulley that came off my BB4 - the keyway is slightly enlarged but otherwise its in good condition and could do until you can source a new one - its being used as a door stop at the moment
are you planning fixing it yourself?
