 cool. to be honest these threads have come up before, the last one if i remember correctly was some one posted a link that i think 4genphil was watching, he got a little annoyed and others posted the hey i hadnt seen that one, but in the end 4genphil was still the winning bidder even though at least 4 other members hadnt seen it till it was posted here and showed an intrest in it, in the end none of them actually bid

Owned by his brother's uncle's sister in law's late grandfather's deceased dog aye? Doesn't have an eBay account because he's dead and, when he was alive, couldn't type his password with his paws.

And what are the chances other members that saw the thread but simply didn't post in there that they hadn't seen it previously, but were now planning to bid on auction and then caused Phil to pay more than what he would have had the OP not posted the thread in the first place?

Face it, by not posting these threads no-one gets upset and the fate of those that deserve a bargain isn't going to change. I've even seen member's that had full intention to bid on something decide otherwise since they saw it was broadcast all over the forum

i dont really give flying toss about who posts it up, the only one i was really miffed about was the tan leather that some one posted up a day prior to the end of the auction, i had planned to visit the rent whilst i picked it up and nafeman on the way  i was happy to pay £150 for it, it went for more, the person who bought it was welcome to it at that price

But had someone else snapped it up for £150 before you did due to that post, you'd be proper pissed right?

Fortunately most of the things that are broadcast these days I have no interest in as I have most of my bits now, but the bits I do have are rare performance parts that I know would have been snapped up by others for more than I paid for them, and possibly more than I could have afford at the time had they been posted up.
