Fair play, take the stickers off that and I reckon you'll have a cracking car.
A few mates have done these "banger rally's" and they have all had a huge amount of fun. There is usually a theme to the event so I guess this one was done to meet the style.
The fact that the arches look good (from the pics) and it has had all the servicable stuff done IMHO makes that a bargain....... oh and it's Red so it'll be fast too

Could well have been.
A mate of mine did a run in an old Volvo estate dressed up as the Ghostbusters car
Another did it in a Reliant Robin Space Shuttle....long before Top Gear did their version
Alot of these cars are in perfect working order when they finish but just end up being scrapped which is a great shame.
Several years ago we took part in the MLR500 - a 4hr endurance grass track event at Blyton. Cars had to Mitsubishi, could cost no more than £500 including modifications (but excluiding safety items such as seat/harness etc) and not be a van or off roader.
We found a very tidy '94 Galant 4x4 2.5v6 with a blown motor for £75
Found a good used lump for £200, beefed up the suspension, stripped the thing to shed weight, bought a couple of sets of lightly used gravel tyres, stickered it up and went for it.
Won our class and came 2nd overall - denied the win from having to make one extra fuel stop over the competition.
Awesome fun for not much money...especially as it was split into a team of 4 people

After the event the car then sat unloved for 2 years before eventually scrapping it. Shame as the motor was still spot on and could easily have done another event.

shame its an auto is all
i wonder if you could pass MOT with real bullet holes? the sharp bits would be on the inside after all.
