Just out of interest I ended up watching this and another from the same person, to see just how much money some people are willing to spend just to avoid trying to do something simple themselves

One reburbished wrinkle red H22a valve cover £121.99 delivered

Whereas, with a bit of time and patience, they could have bought...

A ropey second-hand valve cover for £30 delivered
Paint-stripping and cleaning agents for £10
Etch primer for £12
VHT Wrinkle paint for £12.

... Done the job themselves, and then once restored and fitted, sell their original one on for the same money they bought theirs for (Hopefully with with postage on top), and basically totalled just £34 for a newly refurbished wrinkle red (or whatever colour) valve cover! ;)

... Or pay just £54.49 for a Wrinkle Blue one

It can be tricky to paint especially if you want polished letters. But TBH it is within the capabilities of anyone who is able to actually swap the rocker cover. If you are able to swap it you are most likely able to paint it :D

There have been some nice rocker covers for sale on the forum, but they never seem to sell :?

That's because most of us are willing to try these things ourselves ;)

The time and effort it takes to spray these I'd want £150 as that's what I'd earn in 2 hours spraying cars. But can only offer them for £90 ish. :(

That's damn right fair enough and as I said, this guy is on to a winner as he's actually selling them (The red ones anyway).

But my point is no-one will ever charge themselves that much for painting one will they ;)
