All agreed but the main issue has to be that none of them will fit the general prelude designed tein shocks we all have. they updated the design and we were left behind :(

I think the main issue with constructing your own version will be the height of the agustment knobs already and the clearance you would have before catching the bonnet. To sit something on top of them would make the whole thing quite tall. Also attaching the motor to the base somehow so it doesnt just go round and round

It might help with the tein topmounts but they are a lot of cash.

@106pete can you get a pic of the topmounts on the setup on the red type S at all? see what it is we would all need to make it go...

These are whats on mine, is that the same as others on here?

See bottom left of the image, they have a threaded portion extending from the centre with a black cap, under the black cap is a knurled knob with an allen key fitting at the top.

(Edit: FFS, cannot get the picture to display the right way up, its correct on photobucket!)

How can you tell without the rubber cap removed. Look like mine otherwise, (just with the Tein top mounts fitted), but I would have assumed mine were the older style too.

Yeah I'll get some pics, my teins are a strange version, must have come from Japan as the part number didn't match anything English iirc

Ps the controller fits very nicely in the coin slot to the right of your 5g steering wheel!

That is the thread sizes and I have EDFC on my Mono Flex coil over ATR. Hard to really hard in 10 seconds.....

Plus i have a spare controller at home.... :D

Its not the rubber cap or whats under so much as it is the height of the spindle and the threaded part is a different gauge to the motors locking system. once you get the two together you realise there AINT NO WAY.

But if what Toyracer says is correct there are potentially different motors with different thread sizes to suit... Maybe :?:

I've got a lot more thread exposed on mine so I'm guessing I've got the same as LLL and like he said I can't see that motor sitting on the top and being able to shut the bonnet.

Here's a quick pic of what I have

I've never taken them off but I assume they just unscrew although they are tight! If I get chance I'll take them off and take some more
