But I find the majority of ebay stuff isn't OE quality. At least I found that when hunting for drop links (And his drop links are definitely cheaper when comparing to the next OE quality ones) and ball joints for the 4th don't often come up either.

Then these items aren't usually all available from the same seller, so there's no usual way to knock the price (including postage) down even more.

I agree. You pay your money, you take your chances at the end of the day. Though I don't believe any advert that states OE quality unless it has absolutely come from the same 3rd party manufacturer as Honda.

just thought id say the steering rack track rod ends visually look identical to the oem ones right down to the plated finish id stick my neck out and say good chance theyre from same manufacturer.
oem ones are £95 each so compared to £19.50 thats great value. just my opinion ;)
sorry its a bit off track from the thread subject

Not much time so just a quick post

4th and 5th gen front and rear lower ball joints are the same 110% ;)
4th gen front and rear uppers are 33mm ball joints (OEM)
5th gen front uppers are 35mm and rears are 33mm (OEM)

Note - Some aftermarket replacement upper arms use their own size ball joint so this is where you can sometimes fall down

EDIT: I tried giving you good rep, but it won't let me. Seems I only give it to you

And could that explain your dilema with the upper ball joints Merlin?

Image Quite possibly. Rich is on about diameter measurements (I assusme). Where I had problems was due to the the depth of the groove on the balljoint where the arm and circlip sits. To the unsuspecting eye my rear ones appeared to fit the front, it was only once we were building one side up what we noticed (by chance) vertical movement of the arm because of the slack fitting balljoint. I saw nothing on the arm to suggest that the arm wasn't OEM but It can only be that as my rear balljoint fit with no issue :? :?

I also found out that 5G'd dont fit, the hard way
