C-Pillar braces

What are peoples thoughts on C-Pillar braces??

I saw one on a car on Preludepower:

Not sure if it actually does make any difference but looks nice.

I have got my self some Rear upper and lower Strut braces and also going to get the lower Front brace so with this C-Pillar brace it should be cool (?)

I got a day off work so just looking at Prelude things to buy or just to wish to buy.

Saw this yesterday too

Looks cool but I think unless you're really tracking your car, why bother?
In my opinion this would be last on the list, but you're fairly far already I think?

Coilovers & polybush whatevers, lower struts, upper struts, c-pillar. That's the rough order I would think people do things in for max stability or whatever you want to call it

I thought the c-pillar braces were deemed pretty pointless on ludes?

Purely as a 'for show' item, I think the car needs that slammed, fat wheels look.

I already have coilovers, polybush, some struts etc so was looking at future mods.

(Even if they are pointless)

There is a good amount of c-pillar twisting that goes on when turning hard, but unless it's then anchored down to the top of the shock tower as well, you're not really going to benefit from it.

Be carefull with a lower front brace as well Nitin. It's not going to take anything too raised to rip that clean off and potentially knacker your undercarriage.

I'm scared about that

I already scrape when I go over speed humps if it's over 10mph so really scared about putting a Rear lower strut brace.

And it's even worse if I have people in the back. I'm planning on getting a harness bar and then that way I can tell people I have a roll cage so it's only a 2 seater.

lol You're such a doofus!

You should be alright fitting a rear lower brace as they don't really hang much lower than the cross member if at all (Depends on which one you have). But if you're scraping already on the front, then definitely don't fit a front lower.
