Bent rear lower control arm?? or not?

Hi

Are the left and right hand side rear lower control arms the same? Helms only shows one side But as you can see from these pictures they are different.

I have looked about on the net but can't find any answers. I did find this though..

Yeah, the offside definitely has the bend in it to clear the exhaust.

I'm waiting to find you a Honda part number, but my internet is ridiculously slow at the moment :roll:

Wasn't sure if 4WS would have made a difference but it doesn't...

2.2 Vtec 4WS = 52350-SS0-902
2.3i = 52350-SS0-902
2.0i = 52350-SS0-902

And all left hand are 52360-SS0-902 for the record.

They are not the same. As Nathan says the bend is there to get over the exhaust when the car is jacked up.

The Ebay link you put up is US Ebay so their passenger side is our drivers side (which is the side with the bend in it).

Yeah all 4th and 5th gen ludes are the same... The drivers one is always bent (as in the picture above) and the passenger one is straight. Its just how it is :lol:

Yeah i thiught its probably to clear the exhaust. Thought id check as someone did try out the pit maneuver on me last week :evil: , made a mess of my rear quarter but only just noticed that lower arm.

It's ok it would take quite a large bump before that arm would bend. You would know if it was bent as the car would not feel right when driving.

He means the bent one is on uk/jdm drivers side an on the passanger side of a us car as tthe steerinng wheel is on the wrong side :lol:
