I never looked back when I did my roof black, that's with a red bonnet and red boot:

Of course now I have much carbon goodness for the bonnet, boot and sunroof, yet to see what it will look like combined.

now ive seen this im back to undecided

is it my imagination or does the black roof make the lude look lower

Black, deep blue, etc. do make objects appear smaller, and lighter colours the opposite (think white room vs. black room). In general, warmer colours seem to advance towards the viewer and cooler recede. Since red is a very warm colour it pops against the black, making the roof look even smaller. Smaller roof = lower looking car.

IMO a black roof (or any colour) needs to be matched by the bonnet and boot, but I'm not a total fan of that look. If it was my choice I'd have it all the same colour.
