Edit: In fact from that observation a simple rule just occurs to me about this:

If you spend longer washing your car than you usually do having sex then surely you need to reconsider your priorities

(Incidentally, absolutely nothing should be inferred from the fact that to do mine I drive to the rough end of the city at night and pay several men to do it while I watch
