OK this is going to be contriversial from me, normally i would be posting how gay rat look is and how people claim it is "individual" by looking just like anyother VWfaghag.

HOWEVER...I met a chap the other day with a JDM Arista, he had sprayed it in plastidip in a matt grey, airbrushed in black on all the panel joins and stuck rust on it in various places, and it actually looked OK.

But being plastidip, when he gets bored of it, he can just peel it off and still have the pristine paint underneath.

Not sure if the link will work -

If you were talking about a car worth more than 5k? maybe its worth second guessing yourself. In this situation its just your car and it will NEVER be worth 5k again so why worry?

Its an old honda. There are still loads of them about so again, why not?.. Leave off the stupid suspension mods so its still good to drive but go to town on the bodywork. flapper sanding wheel on the grinder, nail some bottle caps down the B pillar and give one wing a couple hundred taps with a small hammer etc. Why the hell not?

Driving cars should be fun so go have some.
Despite me saying no. That's my opinion. However I agree with lude lover. Why the hell not. Your car. Your style. Do it.

I agree with lewd lude lover. Do it!

It's a rarer engine in a lude, but it's not the best and so certainly isn't ever going to command any more money than a JDM h22a lude.

Just make sure you do it properly ;)

Yar, agree with that. If you are going to do it do some research and do it properly. go to town and make it stand out on the road. Most people still wont know what 'ratlook' is was or could be so it will always get attention.

You could maybe do a rising sun in pop rivets on the roof? stuff like that will always get positive attention because it IS individual in this age of personalityless corporate faced people moving boxes. regardless of the 'car scene' at large.

My mae has started on his transit. Its rough grey primer with rougher spray camo pattern and lots of zombie disposal stickers and storage built on to it. He gets asked for pics and everything. People love it.
Do it right and people will enjoy it with you.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

And this would be a rather apt way of ensuring the arch rust does get away from you...

Cheers guys, the responses weren't as against it as I thought. It will be done tastefully, im not one to go bat shizzle crazy. I have a few ideas to start with and will take it steady and go bit by bit.

I'll put up a progress thread eventually :)

I'm not sure that tact and "ratted" go hand in hand
