got them from a friend, they have lexan windows in it already. My own doors are stripped the same but no windows yet. Dispite the 12 KG they are still heavy. And in Holland we neet to cover the edges or have a inner plate.. So will have to find a way to do that.

At the end, this is what we want!

I have spoken to acefibreglass and he will give me a price estimate.

I needed to pass msa scrutineering, so for the cut edges I've used rubber U channel. I also have the lexan window. But to be honest the glass ones aren't really that heavey. If I could have found a way to secure them then I may have kept them.

That might be an option for me aswel, rubber U channel..
Problem with the glass is , if you want to be able to open them you need a system en innerskin.
Manual system conversion is possible and smile alu plate will do..
In holland , by law, you need to be able to (re) adjust you side mirror.
Making a lexan window isnt hard, especially the side one. Slider window is fine for me at the moment.

About the doors:

Have the first reply of a fiberglass company:
Moulds 1000£ ex vat each.. After that about £200ex for every door.
Its very expensive ( labour intensive) to make the moulds.
If we have 5 orders and split its ok.
I'm willing to take a chance and get two sets of doors.
But going to wait what others say first.

So I presume that's fibreglass and not carbon fibre at that price?

And is that for a 100% fibreglass door (not including the window obviously), but including inserts/reinforcement for the hinges?

Yes and yes. When I have a reply from all compagnies I will start asking targeted questions.

Also I will start a topic in the groupbuy section.
Need a price first. Might have guys in holland who might be interested.

what about door skins ? rather than the whole door might help ? be cheaper to produce you could put holes in the frame to lighten that up but keep strength/wind up windows?

I expect the weight of the door skin is only about 10% of the doors weight anyway, if that.

Yes, I've replaced may door skins in the past and they weigh next to nothing.
