Chipsaway repair on a Pearl CR-Z

Post by RattyMcClelland » Mon Sep 10, 2012 7:25 pm

Quite proud of this one.
Customer was extremely picky and wanted a perfect colour match. I told him about my Honda and the colour match i got with 16year old pearl paint and the fact Premium white pearl and white diamond pearl are 1 colour toner in difference so are essentially the same.
Honda wanted £400. I charged £130+vat. 8-)

Nice sized chip that Honda did and didnt take the blame.

Sanded back and keyd up the panel.

Primed and a couple layer of base white

Base coat blended out

Pearl layer blended out. I made the pearl double concentrate with a few orientation coats to get a good match.
