Radiator Fan Control Prelude

Post by Mudgey » Fri Apr 19, 2013 3:38 pm

Hello,

I need to figure out how to get the rad fans working on my K20 swap, with the CTR the fans are activated by a switch in the lower (cold side) of the radiator, however I notice the prelude doesn't have a rad fan switch on the radiator? Is it controlled by the ECU or a rad fan switch else where in the cooling circuit?

There's a temp sensor nd thermo unit on the block in front of the thermostat housing on the H22 hat are read by the ECU I believe, but there's also a thermo sensor on the thermostat housing itself I think for the rad fans, but is there not a spare port on the rad lower down? If so, you could maybe use that if you know what the thread is and can find a sensor to fit.

Ok,

Will wire them up manually until I can afford to get a inline hose adapter made, not paying £70 from Tegiwa when I could get them made for less than £20 each... as long as I can sell 50 or so... lol

My next question is how easy is it to wire up the fans to a switch? Does anyone know how to identify the rad fan switch wires?
