Post by lukass » Mon Feb 20, 2017 3:12 pm

Does anybody have a problem with this light arround locker? Mine light is ON all the time and won`t turn off?

What's "locker"? Do you mean the ignition barrel or door lock?

No need to apologise :)

Have you watched it through the window after you get out and lock the car? I believe it should turn off then (Possibly after a few seconds).

It should come on when you unlock the car or open the door from memory. (It's been a while since I looked at mine).

So when you've gone back to it after an hour or so it's still lit is it?

Does your Prelude have an after-market alarm/key fob/immobiliser?

might not be connected but on both my 4 th gens the ignition barrel can stick a bit normally when it is cold weather - just give it a couple of gentle hits - another thought - could the ignition barrel stay on if the footwell lights (facelift 4th gen) stay on - there is a switch for the drivers footwell lights just at the side of it.

following on from vanzap my jdm soarer use to have the sticky barrel keeping the light on you , the key would come out ok but the central part of barrel didnt pop out quick lube up and all is fine , failing that has the wiring rubbed threw some where causing the light to be earthing all the time , do you have any other lights staying on
success is the ability to go from one failure to the next without any loss of enthusiasm :D :D
