that was the point of the question really, do i need one? i thought they were only really for a turbo build, and was going to stick with a stock one but i see some people upgrading theirs on n/a builds. just wanted to check with one of the GOLG (Gods Of Lude Gen)

You'd basically be slapping it on the end of a cold air feed, so not really much point. You're not going to cool the air down more than the air that would have entered a standard cold air feed, as to optimise it you need to position it in the usual place in front of the rad, also lengthening the cold air feed by quite a lot making the throttle less revvy when you want a revvy engine, not to mention the fact you'd be essentially baffling your air intake.

The reason for having an intercooler on a turbo'd engine is because the turbo runs so hot the air needs to be cooled back down again, but the air is forced through the intercooler so it's not such an issue being restricted.

Going to put this on hold car is 99% sold to one lucky person (so good news is it's staying in one piece for someone to enjoy)

Any one who pm'd me regarding parts sorry to let you down but as you can understand I would much prefer if the car stays in one piece

Hi all,

just would like to inform you that i bought the car and was really happy with it.
Unfortunately the body is not in good condition and has rust on the rear arches, sills and the rear frame so it will partially strip it and swap the engine (after fixing the piston slap :o ) and some other parts into my prelude.

I didnt bought the car to break it but belive me it looks really bad underneath, i´ll upload some pics later

There are some few parts that im willing to sell since i dont need them or have them twice

Azect rear spats damaged £60
Less than 500 miles (which now have approx 1000 miles) tein flex coil overs £400 or K Sport with less then 300 miles i really dont know which i will keep
Aem series 1 standalone ecu £400 (already have Hondata S300)
Sparco steering wheel and boss £60
Skunk 2 intake manifold £200 already have a skunk 2
Custom shaved and polished rocker cover with an fittings and carbon dipped spark plug cover £100
AEM AFR UEGO 100
Ramhorn manifold £200 im gonna buy another Manifold and keep AC
