G Reg 1989/1990 3G Prelude Auto Silver - THIS WEEKEND

Post by becca » Wed Feb 19, 2014 11:39 am

This isn't technically mine so I hope this is ok to post?

It's at a local breakers yard near me.

I've had a few parts I want off it but almost everything is still intact. I've taken bumpers, will be getting rid of the rear but keeping the lip off it.

It's a silver auto, no idea on mileage, bonnet is dented, wings seemed good condition [I didn't look too close as had to work fast before it got dark to get my parts].

The interior is absolutely mint from what I could see [seats look comfy!]! I did have to get a boost though as it was on top of another car

I'll be going back this weekend for brake callipers off the rear so if anyone wants anything let me know and I'll see what I can do, prices seem fairly decent there, got both bumpers with fogs, lights, fittings for £80

Apparently it's been hit lightly on the bonnet, but the reason it's there [it's the scrappy owners old car!] is something to do with the immobiliser and he just gave up? I wasn't listening great as it was pissing with rain and I was trying to get bumpers off...

But yeah anyone want me to check for anything? There's no dash mat unfortunately! :(

Hey Becca,

The handbrake pickup on a 3rd gen lude is different to a 3rd gen Accord (Assuming this is what you're intending to fit them to). I was going to swap all my Aerodeck calipers over to my lude, but I could only swap the discs and front calipers.

That said, I think I've still got a set (or two) of rear 3rd gen Accord calipers if you are in need.

Oh really? Well that sucks...

Is there no way they can be fitted, they're only for the spare as well, meaning the car that is shared with the other half who's a mechanic so... ?

We just wanted something cheap and quick! How much would you want for yours?

Basically the cable came in at a different angle if I remember rightly, and wouldn't reach without being too tight an angle. I'm sure they could be made to fit, but you'd need longer cables. Remember though that you're attempting the opposite to me. I was trying to make 'deck calipers fit a lude. So you might stand more of a chance.

I'd say a tenner each plus postage.

Remember I've got those rear camber arms as well if you want to combine postage ;-)
