Discussion on the semantics of selling and the potential.

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

But to get it back up to those figure's you will be up near £2k all in.

To me, its being sold as a 228bhp motor for £1200, which it isn't.

That's semantics.

The logic is whoever is buying would be silly to not take the ECU with the engine.

I'm not trying to mislead anyone. Dino sold his 277bhp motor completely bare, not even a valve cover for over double what I'm asking without all this hassle.

Yes I see your point, would you rather I post it for sale at £1600 with the ECU included? Or perhaps £1900 with the manifold. Or £2100 with the decat & catback. Or £2150 including the conversion harness for the ECU as well?

I was going to keep ECU for myself the tune the ATR. but would rather someone take and me spend the extra getting a new chip so someone doesn't have to get it retuned to get back to 228bhp.

But thanks for ruining the F/S thread

Tried... to... resist..., but....

This car is being sold as a 205mph Hypercar

What if it was for sale without the wheels though? Technically it couldn't do 0.0000000001mph, but are you saying it can't be advertised as being capable of 205mph? It's just missing a vital ingredient. Alex has done the right thing and listed it as a 228bhp "MOTOR" with an asking price and has stated what else it was sporting to deliver said 228bhp.

Nicely moved, his poor for sale thread is for interested parties and questions about the engine and work. 8)

Merlin I assume?

Trololol.

im sorry but, this engine is worth that money, even without the ecu etc with it. The parts alone equate to a high amount, let alone the labour time etc thats been spent. Try getting everything in that engine bundle for less then 1k.
