How Much Is It Worth?

Post by CollyN » Fri Jun 21, 2013 1:41 am

Well lads and ladies, Im thinking about selling my prelude and im not sure how much its worth, it is a 99 sir s-spec with a few mods and a few probs..
Mods are..
Tein super street coilovers, fujitsubo cat back, Feilds vtec, speed, air, fuel controller, dc heat wrapped mani,Rear cusco strut brace, top fuel air intake??? Genuine enkei wheels 8 rears 7.5 fronts,Hids.Momo steering wheel+boss kit.

Probs..
Tyres need replacing.. Back bumper has slight crack and color is off. boot lid has two holes from a drift spoiler fitted by the last kebab of an owner there filled with two silver things.. in all id say the back bumper and boot+spoiler would need a paint to be mint.. Front discs wobble under breaking at around 60.. driver window reg dont work.. few slight marks on the front lip from speed bumps..No tax or nct.

Over all its a good car in need of a small bit of tlc that i just cant give it with work and having a company car.. id love to see it go to a good owner who will give it the love it deserves.. im thinking 1650 sterling or 2000 euro?? Would that be a fair price??

Heres a few pics..

Definitely worth putting it through an MOT. You'll get the money back from it and then some (assuming there's nothing drastically wrong) and guarantee a quicker sale too.

Good on you for not breaking it

Agree. A year's ticket would make all the difference.

I just put my car through its MOT , it was of the road for three years and it needed some bushes and discs , wee service £266 including the MOT so I would reckon your car would sail through for a lot less. you will get it back easy.
Its a work in progress

Seriously, with no MOT the car is as good as scrap value.

People just won't pay a premium price for a car not knowing what could need doing.

Mot it and get the mechanical issues fixed. Things like windows not working are again a big put off as people often can't gauge a repair cost for mechanical or electrical issues.

You'll always be knocked down in price for body work issues, but people can see what needs doing so won't be so put off.
