Yep ;)
nucleustylzlude wrote:The plastic roller on it is more or less all worn, you want a few quid for the use and invest in a new bit, they're about £20 on ebay.
Is it?? It was made from hard material and I thought that will be immortal, bloody Scott probably rolled arches for whole his area in Leicester and he killed it :D :D :D Joking Scott :)

Do not worry, I will sort it my self, I will put that on my mate lathe and will make it nice and smooth shape :)
ludes are ment to be driven, not wanking around on a stand like a Civic.

Oh crap i forgot to mention. I put some sound deadening material over the roller to stop the roller sliding since it didnt roll. I forgot to take the deadening off. A bit of heat will get it off, thats what looks worn.

Ah cool. I only briefly looked in the box to make sure it was in one piece and noticed it had some bits on the wheel. Figured it was well used and the roller part was worn away. No worries, I'll heat it off while I have the heat gun out anyway! Gonna do a an arch or two during my lunch breaks in work, should be interesting.

@RattyMcClelland : If the paint cracks on the inner lip, can I just add some extra paint to it, doesn't have to be pretty as you don't see it?

You can add some paint but that wont fully seal it.
Obviously on my car it got caked in primer, paint and clearcoat but after a couple of weeks gassing off i have put some Bilt Hamber Dynax UC around the whole inn edge of the arches. Dynax UC is a clear. (slightly yellow tint) underseal. This will offer max protection from 4th Gen cancer.

Hey all, a quick update from my hols, just arrived for a week down in Sidmouth, Devon (on my phone at the mo).

The Mazda 6 got the family camper treatment courtesy of eBay (as usual!), with some original Mazda aluminium aero roof bars and a Mont Blanc roof box. I spent allday yesterday getting things fitted and the arches rolled. I needed them rolled as the new wheels have been rubbing on corners and speed humps, figured I needed to sort it as I'm loading the car up with crap for holiday. Ask anyone, with a baby you take sooooo much stuff!

Anyway, a little pic courtesy of Photobucket app. Is it weird that I like the look of it with the bars and box?

I'll update soon with the arch rolling step by step. One arch was perfect but the other arch not so great following a pretty crappy smart repair by the garage I bought it from. But at the end of the day, the don't run now. Time to lower it!

I was considering getting a roof box the 3rd gen for when I go on holiday later this year. It's either that or I have to spend 3 hours plus in Stace's 307 :? How much was your box? I was considering an Exodus as they're quite slick 8)
