I had set the 20th of Oct as the day it had to be ready for as I have paid to enter a sprint day. As I won't make that I am giving my slot to Vanzep. It will probably be November when it sees the track first but probably won't see too much action this winter as I don't have a interior heater (yet). No biggie as it needs rust sorting and a roll cage ASAP.

Yeah the car will be put in the dyno as it will be the only real way I will know if everything is working correctly to produce the power it should. The car will be drivable this week, it has to be as we are leaving for a different workshop.

A pic of the Walbro 255lph Fuel pump. It requires to be spliced into the wiring for the OEM fuel pump. The instructions called for it to be connected up with a crimping kit. For piece of mind I soldered it. The pump sure is a fair bit louder than the OEM pump.

Nice work Al.
Just a tip... from cold start up rev the car at about 2000rpm for 10-15 seconds then she will idle just fine on her own.

Thanks. I am sure it is just the accelerator cable that needs adjusted since she wouldn't idle without assistance. She has only ran for 2-3 minutes so far but that was all I could do before I went away for a few weeks. It is full steam ahead now and hopefully she will have an MOT by the end of the week.

Just make sure the Walbro's filter sits as close as you can to the bottom of the tank (as close as the original was) otherwise you run the risk of the pump not being able to pick up properly when the tanks low and you go round corners.......
