Just make sure you give him the beer after he's done the work ;-)

But otherwise as said, Rich is the Honda oracle 8)

James @jsbach popped over to mine today, great bloke, and what a car. Great spec too. Black top h22a not 2 or 5. It had an engine change in the past. lowered almost as far as it could on tein super streets, GReddy catback exhaust that sounded epic, aem long arm cold air induction, vtec engagement and delivery was smooth and gave great torque and was not aggressive.
All of the suspension joints, bushes and anti roll bars in great nick.
Although looking underneath i did spot a few oil leaks on the engine mainly due to the rocker cover and distributor/vtec solenoid seals.
bodywork needs some cosmetic love. loads of scratches, a few dents and cold do with a new front passenger wing.
bonnet wouldn't close so that was adjusted and is now sorted.

Noticed a slight bit of rust in one of the rear arches, so i removed the side skirts and they were in near perfect condition with only having a small area of surface rust on just the passenger side sill. HOW MUCH MUD WAS IN THOSE SILL AREAS, all jacking point are solid.

So i advise everyone, 4th and 5th gen owners, remove your side skirts and give them a de-mudding.

4ws worked a treat, i never expected that, as i drive mine without 4ws, went around a tight corner in my street and the steering at the back swept the rear around, that was weird.

so all in all, a great car with a good spec sheet.

now to just get the gearbox sorted as it does rumble. so need to find a good manual box with no 5th gear crunch.

also. if i can get a crew together, who fancies helping out on the box change? @w1ggs @m@dds @gordonlear

oh, what an idea? but a pit could be troublesome with an engine crane, may have trouble maneuvering over the sleepers and as its a wide pit may have an issue with axle stand location.

The guys next door have a big engine cam range that should have no problem I'll pull my car in here in a sec and see what the axle stand point are like, they may have some of the really tall axle stands next door we could borrow as well

Really sorry for not being a part of the conversation that I started. Honda-hardy was great checking the car over for me, and has made me appreciate my car even more.
Thanks for the offers of help from you all.
I'd really value your expertise as I'd like to learn more about the lude.
Cheers
James
