No, you have to 'tap' the bolt out....

By tap, I mean whack it, or use a vice to push it out as I did.

Is there a bolt hole in the shock tower? I was just having a look at some of my pics and I could not see the extra holes. TBH I'll probably just press the two extra studs out since I don't really have the time to sort a custom brace or fancy drilling into my shock towers :?

When I pulled out the front unit I thought that it looked very short, until I realised that you can set height at both the spring end and the foot of the unit .

Since I have only ever used Tein Basics on both of my cars:

Not on the 4th no.
TBH, I have the Zeta S so mine may well be different, but I had to remove the extra bolt.
I confess that after a few 'attempts' I actually gave his lordship a ring to check I wasn't being a tw@t.
He confirmed that I was a tw@t.....but that they still needed to come out. :D

 So basically you can score 2 to 9 lol.

Yeah the two extra studs are a 5th gen thing. Not sure all 5th gens have them, so it might even be a jdm thing.

You wouldn't weaken the tower, you'd be reinforcing it even as you'd then be bolting on a brace foot.
