Wheels help

no m8 my wheels aren't flush (wish they were)
the wheels i have are 7.5j and marked with offset of 42 but they sit quite a bit in,
was hoping for the answer to this question myself as was looking for spacers to bring mine out (but the hubcentric spacers are too expensive and really don't like the thought of extended studs

)

i always thought the nearer to zero the offset the more the wheels came out

Well if si_import's are 8" ET10 then I'm going to guess....... 7.5" ET35 will do it! Get your bingo whatevers in now guys.

7j and et of 30-35 is what you want.

The sum...

8" = 203.2mm, 203.2/2 = 101.6, 101.6-10 = 91.6mm

7.5" = 190.5mm, 190.5/2 = 95.25, 95.25-91.6 = 3.65mm
7" = 177.8mm, 177.8/2 = 88.9, 88.9-91.6 = -2.7mm

If you want the wheels to finish flush, say Si-import's wheels protrude 20mm and you want yours to protrude 0mm, then simply add +20 to the et offsets I've already given you. 7.5J's would be +et24 and 7J's would be +et17... Simple!

To confirm these though ask Si-import to measure how much his wheels protrude.

hi mate my tyres are 195/45/16 . is smaller diameter than the stock wheels but hasn't caused any problems .

Just the man!!

Hmmm, my tyres are 205 or 215, so will probably stick out of the arch then, meaning MOT fail

i was thinking of changing to 205/50/16 as its a better size tyre . i am thinking of getting hold of a pair and fitting them to see if its possible without having to flare the arches at all.

This was discussed on PUK a while ago, it's not strictly an MOT fail, but will be illegal if the wheel (not including tyre) protrudes further than the arch, then you may get done under the construction and use regulations act, with points and a fine if the police take exception.

Also, 4 stud 1.2mm OEM honda hubcentric spacers can be found on the front end of 5th gen Accords.
