

Anyway, lastest edition to the build arrived today... one ATR inlet manifold


Came with a few other brackets and hoses which I removed before the photoshoot, but then I also removed the EGR plate. My got that's a lot of carbon!



Not that it matters, but there's no way that ATR's EGR was functioning properly!

And not that it mattered, but I cleared all the carbon out of the EGR plate channels anyway


It does make me wonder how bunged the standard manifold EGR channels could be... Being there's not exactly debungable without modification

Next stage, get the mouth bored out to suit my larger throttle body, machine a small amount of meat away from around the injector ports as the ATR flow paths are a lot narrower. Tap some thread in a number of holes to allow me to "bung" them and also have my friend machine me up the two EGR blockoff plates and the IACV blockoff plate (The IACV is around the back of the ATR manifold). Oh and knock up a throttle cable bracket.
Now then, that just leaves me to win that Type S head on ebay
