Finally someone bought it! :D Almost bought it 3 times myself  Just couldn't bring myself to buy a car that was pretty much how I wanted it, but at the creation of somebody else lol.

Had Benny already sold the GAZ coilovers then? Get in touch with GAZ again. I think they're either £450 or £550 for the set, but they're the only suppliers of coilovers for the 2nd gen.

Has the sump gasket been replaced yet?

And get on top of that small amount of rust before it gets too far out of hand :)

Welcome to the club mate 8)

yeah i thought it was only them that made them, better start saving!!

Yeah the sump gaskets been changed. need to sort the clutch noise in idle and the rust thats the main thing. I know load sof people that can sort the rust, i might put that stuff on that covers it (cant remember what its called) to stop it getting worse. to be fair its only a bit round the rear window and the arches so its not too bad.

cheers :)
Rob

'Kurust' or similar, to halt rust.

And no meets planned down south atm I don't think, but there's plenty of us about if we wanna get something arranged for early next year. ;) (which I'm sure we will)

I'd be up for it, as there's been quite a few new members join recently, & several of them down this way too. Would be good to see some new motors. 8-)
