You need 12mm crush washers for the fuel lines on a BA2 iirc, I thought you had a 5g though?

what side does the fuel come in, there's a pipe either end? guessing the gearbox end?
il leave the engine running tomorrow when i take a look and see if i can see any leakage coming from the connections. hopefully its just a crush washer... knowing my luck its probably a cracked fuel rail or something -.-

Yeah it comes in at the gearbox end of the rail through that banjo union, and at the other end is the pressure regulator. Might be worth checking the fuel filter connections as well.

checked it all today, fuel rails fine, the conections are good even on the fuel filter (found where it was haha)
it seems to be coming from the Ns of the car as i left it running whilst i was having a look and it was all running down that side, i was looking underneath but as it was raining you cant really tell what drips are what.
The leak from the camshaft seal is very minimal, rocker cover gasket looks fine so i'm a bit confused to what it could be as its dripping off the engine mostly :S could it be another oil leak somewhere else maybe?
I did go to halfords earlier to get wiring stuff for the rad fan and thrashed it on the way back along the a27, it was quiet so why not ;) got it spinning up in 3rd when it started to pick up after 4k :P and then started running a lot nicer :S still having a few idle issues but after i did that it went straight to 800rpm no problems, wasn't that lumpy either so dont know whats happened there!
If it stops raining today il jack the car u and have a better look, where do the fuel lines go to after the filter? and could there be any other oil leaks? hopefully not the sump gasket again, may have to kill myself
but saying that, il hasn't really be going down that much compared to fuel :/

I had a fuel leak on my 5th gen, there is a 'weak point' in the fuel lines. The fuel lines come out of the tank next the rear passenger wheel, they then run down the passenger side down to the engine bay. The lines start out as rubber, then connect to steel lines...where the lines run down the car they are coated in rubber to prevent corrosion. But where the rubber lines connect to the steel lines there's a section that's doesn't have any rubber on....thus being open to the rain, grit etc......

Mine had corroded and started leaking, I simply cut the rusted exposed steel line and replaced to with rubber hoses.

It's something I suggest everyone checks, as all my lines were rusted badly at the same point, but only 1 was leaking.
