Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate with braided hoses and 16 row cooler ;) There is no room for sensors on that plate though. You have to get sensor locations on the engine instead.

Sandwich plates are not the best location for sensors anyway. The best place for oil sensors is the OEM oil pressure switch for oil pressure and the sump for oil temp. PAW told me this so that is where I put my sensors ;)

Junk it as it is next to useless. The OEM oil pressure light activates when oil pressure is at 6 PSI. The minimum a stock H22 needs at idle is 10 PSI. Apparently if your oil warning light comes on damage has already been done to the engine. My built engine gives around 30 PSI oil pressure on warm idle (80-90 PSI when hooned).

If you really want the OEM pressure warning you can reinstall it by using a T-piece. You need to run a capillary line from the block to your oil pressure sensor. On the end of the capillary line you install a T-piece, one side for your sensor and the other for the OEM pressure warning sensor. I didnt bother reinstalling the OEM pressure warning sensor as by the time that goes off my engine would be drokked.

You look to be ok bud, as that's not an ATTS block ;-)

... Although if it just says H22a on it it's a standard JDM 197bhp engine, unless it's had a head swap :? (I'm talking about the seperate head you've got, assuming you got that with it??? )

ATTS block (Note where the oil filter is also)...

ah ha! yes your right that block looks very differant with the ATTS unit and differant oil filter placement same as this one

thanks nath, looks like ive been partly mis-sold something (maybe a head swap as you say) but saves faff i suppose, does say h22a on the block - i can just put your atr pistons in now with new bearings and piston rings :D now to check the head & cams as you say (yes they came with it, as well as the whole loom), is there a marking to indicate type s cams? they will be sold anyway, but i dont want to mis-sell someone myself lol

cams have H&W + H&Y markings on them

whereas the inlet mani seems to be h22a...
