watered down fairy liquid is as good a lubricant as any for clay bar.

iv used 'detailers pride' and the bilt hamber stuff. both worked well.

bilt is a little hard for honda paint.

you must only clay as the FIRST step in a TOTAL detail and polish. otherwise its pointless.

fold the clay OFTEN. the clay in that picture has been abused and will not have been doing its job for most of that.

go gently. dont rub. dont make circles. gently glide it over the paintwork and find its own level. back and forth, keep a constant pressure.

:nath:
(Not that my paint has ever really warranted it)
you have never felt your paint after a clay treatment. my guess is your paint is SCREAMING out for it.

do it but only as a part of a larger detailing job. like cleaning under your fingernails is not the only thing you do before a date but its an important part of the whole.

Once I've "sorted" the paint I'll get on top of it ;-)

Iv used a fair few and to this day the best IV used its Bilt Hambers autoclay medium and soft with some fairy liquid water. No marring yet.

I used a clay bar for the first time a couple of years ago and couldn't believe the difference it made 8-)

Paint was like glass after it! It does make a real difference. Just follow the advice already given above & you will be fine. I usually do it once at the start of Spring and that should see you through the summer :D

i dare you not to want to just run your fingers across the paint above the door outside as your driving along  its like silk after a full detail.
