Fan Cooling Switch (manual)

I would think a Mugen style thermostat and temp switch is in order. Designed to come in/on earlier and switch on your rad fan. Supposed to stop the spikes in heat you describe...

mind u i blame speed bumps and potholed roads for their part in making them leak

Yep id heard about them - not cheap but if i do go to replace the thermostat then this would be a good call

engine not at operating temp = rich fuel mixture

but deffo a good idea to have when stuck in traffic on hot days
