So when i arrived at 9am it was a very sunny day and no wind. Things started top heat up quick especially since the sun is facing the front of PAW and looking into the engine bay, there is still alot of thing in the way. It will take far to long to remove most things, clean and grind rust/paint. So i hit painting on the head, decided on just doing a dam good old fashioned degrease and clean. Also i though id fully remove the water injection system, install a new battery and remove the redundant boost gauge. Im glad i did this as it soon got up to 28 degrees in direct sunlight with hardly any wind and sweaty betty appeared.
So some before and afters.
Engine bay before. (left side already painted)

After

The old Stinger SPV44 battery that is now 8 years old and discontinued. I find the Odyssey PC1200T is the excact same battery sepite specs and dimension being listed as different. They arnt and its red. Because Type R.

I suspect the battery is damaged because
A- It sat for extended peroids without being used and more so than an AGM battery is happy with
B- Insufficient charging from alternator as i cooked the alt as it rests next to the hytech header and heavily retarded timing from the supercharger setup gives very high exhaust gas temps.
C- 8 years old.
I spent 6 hours cleaning and removing stuff.

Anyhow the whole water injection setup weights in at 9.5kg with 5 litres and water. The JRSC weights in at 38kg. Factor in intake manifold change and i have save 43kg of weight going back to NA and have my strut bar back. Should be more dynamic in the corners.
