Supplier of poly bushes, rear control arms 4g, please?

Post by Angus » Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:24 pm

Anyone recommend a UK supplier of poly bushes for my rear control arms, please? One which doesn't have to order them in from America (which I can do myself on eBay if needs be!).

3 bushes per side, for the arm that goes to the bottom of the shocker.

If you want Energy Suspension polybushes they will have to come from the US. You might be able to get some Powerflex bushes :?

You can't get aftermarket control arms but you can get rear toe arms from Megan Racing. I have these on my 4th gen and they are good.

Cheers, Merlin. Can't seem to find a Powerflex option, so it looks like Energy USA.

Just noticed this simlar thread ...

Try Scott at H-Tune for ES bushes. He'll get them from the States as well, but he's pretty quick and generally never beaten on prices.

I was gna get mine from Scott at H-Tune but another member had a full set going so nabbed them instead. The bushes you are after are available as set kits so don't worry. :D

Looks to me like the 3 bushes (Energy Suspension) required for the rear control arm can only be got by buying three different sets ... 16.3112, 16.7105 and 16.8108. As the guy says in this thread:

It's actually my shocker lower bushes that are knackered, but I thought might as well do all three while the arms are off. With those 3 sets, you get the trailing arm chassis bush and the two for the upper wishbone to chassis bolts as well.

If you are doing some bushes you would be better off doing the lot.

Just as a footnote, those three sets - 16.8108, 16.7105 and 16.3112 set me back $167.87 (£102.40) with FedEx 2-3 day shipping (we'll see) from New Jersey.

Going through amazon.com gets pretty much the same price. Some sets can be found cheaper there, but can't be sent internationally.

Supplier was http://www.ultrarev.com/ - who are also on eBay.com, but it's easier to get combined postage by using their own website.

(For comparison, a set of the three OEM control arm bushes (as shown replaced in the pic above) for both sides of the car costs £195.86 + postage from Lings. And that doesn't include the small upper wishbone to chassis, or trailing arm to chassis bushes - which aren't available separately as OEM).

Not bad going - a lovely box of bushes turned up today.

Ordered Thursday, arrived Tuesday.

Quite impressed. :)

That is good service. The swapping fun begins. If you need any pointers where each bush goes (each one has a part number stamped on it) have a gander at this: http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t580.html
