Show us your CAI's :)

I want to change my CAI setup;

Image

I want to get the air filter away from the engine and get a hard pipe with some heat wrap to get the intake temps down a little.

Measured a few things earlier & the BMC has an 84mm O/D outlet with the TB having a 72mm O/D inlet.

In thinking of putting the BMC next to the battery & having some 84mm piping all the way up to a reducer on the TB giving the least restriction in the airflow.

Has anyone done something similar? Or have a better way of doing it? Some pics of what you have would be good, if you don't mind sharing ;)

Have you been for a blast (bringing the engine up to full temp) and then put your hand on the CDA? It doesn't get warm bud ;-)

Here's mine so far...

@ Si; Nice! Where does your feed come out at the front?

@ Nafe; That's a bit of a straight airflow! Can't do a road legal 1 light that with the 5g tho :( . I've just been out to the car, the BMC is warm and the enigne was off 3 hours ago :shock:

Either way, could be a battery move on the cards first

Oh yeah, I was only responding to the title! ;-)

And of course your CDA's going to be warm if it's been sat for 3 hours after a drive... I'm on about when you're driving it ;-)
