Euro r inlet on h22a

Post by EG_H22 » Sun Oct 06, 2013 8:47 pm

Guys had a hick up on my engine,
Ive fitted the euro r altered the rail and what not but fired the beast up the other day and noticed that there's an air leak.
Where the end bolt is (egr side) theres abit of the block that sticks out poss an oil runner.
Question is did you fellow members that have fitted this what gasket did u use, as was told a thermo one could solve the problem?

Advice needed please

Do you mean the actual EGR port? (About a 10-12mm diameter hole).

No the erg bit was so you would know what side im on about, its where you bolt the intake to the head, i seem to have an air leak coming out, wondered if a thermo gasket would sort this as it is thicker than the normal thin gasket, if not just means that ill have to take the i take off and shave abit more off, will have a picture tomorrow night if it helps

It's not the small ports (3mm diameter) in the main flange plate directly above the runner ports is it?

You can tap those ports with and use grubs screws to block them off. Check out the Rosko-Racing how-to.
