that is a shame as much as i hate seeing them going for scrap that does look like the only choice for the shell anyway shame this didnt happen last month as a shell near me went for scrap after being stripped for its engine and gearbox

It came out of nowhere really, a little crack in the paint to start with. I scraped the top layer of paint off to expose the rust to treat it and it basically all flaked off and collapsed. Methinks a previous owner knew about this and hid it.
I bet the arches are a flaky mess under the paint too.
Oh well, at least it makes my mind up for me. And truth be told - my heart was never fully in this car anyway.
