Hi all,
wondered if anyone can help put my mind at rest.
Advertised an item on ebay with Buy It now price.
Advert clearly states local collection only in both the advert and the postage option.
So some plonker from from portugal decides to buy it and wants me to post... with which i told him collection only.
He then suggests that he has a courier to arrange collection.
To which ive told him its cash on collection and by a friend or family member if not him personally.
Ive cancelled the order due to 'recipient address' issues.
Ive asked the buyer to confirm by Close of play today to confirm if he has someone to come and collect.
So if i relist item tomorrow will i ne breaking any ebay rules and will ebay hit me for fees for selling abd cancellung order.
Bloody hate ebay, especially buyers who dont read adverts properly.
Sooo much hassle.
Cheers beforehand
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

It's this kind of bullshit that has made me just not bother with selling on eBay for a number of years - yeah, some transactions may go OK, but it just takes one to mess everything up - so I just don't bother now!
I use eBay purely as an alternative to Amazon, mostly to purchase items from a reputable supplier who have chosen eBay as their purchasing platform. In the last few years, I think I've only bid on a few items which were a typical auction!

Yes, you'll be notified, but you have to action the cancellation. You can't be expected to go through with the sale if it was against your wishes that were clearly stated. It will be ruled in your favour if you chose collection only, so he'd be a fool not to accept as this will go against him.Dino wrote:Will i be notified of him accepting?

He wants me to sort it with courier and if i dont he wont accept.
No money has been exchanged though
