Post by David.slough » Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:26 am

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any UK suppliers of these?

Check out 12tune bud. You may need to email them and enquire if they don't list them though.

Post back here if they do have them, there might be a few people interested!

I got some Taiwan jobby in 2009 and they were jobby. Make sure they hold the heavy prelude bonnet. Personally, they work better on a CF bonnet. :?

One thing though, as with all dampeners for the 4th. Due to the "gutter" between the front wing and the bonnet being so narrow, they do tend to rub a bit. I noticed the other day that mine have corroded a bit. No paint has come off either of the body panels, so obviously they could have just done with a better protective coating.

I've literally just today had some Tegiwa bonnet spacers arrive which will lift the bonnet at the hinge 25mm with the aim off ridding them of any contact from either of the body panels. This is fine as it's on my track lude, but may not be so ideal for someone looking to keep their lude looking fairly standard.

Were those just carbon wrapped around a standard dampener Nitwit? As that would bulk them out unnecessarily.

I know

the wont work at a Carbon fiber hood ore poly hood

because the hood is to leight to close the dampers!

i've got a pair here brand new for a Prelude from 92 till 2000 but got a poly hood and didn't work
