took me a year to get over a heartbreak like this and only just now picked up the ghost to start the rebuild - sometimes a few days just lets you get over the butt hurt :(

Little video of the damage, safe to say that engine won't be getting fixed.

Been making a list of whats needed on top of engine being replaced

Oil cooler seal - Honda pt no.91316-pe7-730 62.4X3.1
Camshaft Oil seals - Honda pt no.91213-PR3-004 29x43x8
Balancer shaft oil seal - Honda pt no.91233-PT0-003 27x40x8
Crankshaft oil seal - Honda pt no.91212-P0A-004 40x52x7
Balancer shaft retainer kit - Honda pt no.06923-POA-306
Hamp or Honda oil filter
Fresh 10-40 oil
New coolant

Hopefully be able to reuse the rocker cover gasket and the spark plug seals since they were replaced.

Guessing timing belt/balance belt/manual tensioner can all be reused?

Choice made. Seals ordered from Honda. Will be converting the a8 to obd1 so I can run the spoon P13. @merlin if I need any advice on obd swap you be OK helping out?

May take a few weeks but car will be back bigger and better.

You know it's by far the best thing to do considering you already have the a8.

You should be alright to reuse the timing belt kit. The belt wouldn't have stretched out fully yet. Or you could at least reuse the bearings and fasteners and just get a new belt if the other no longer looks fit enough.
