Nice! I wish I had the time to have painted my engine bay when I had the chance, just ran out of time :(

What colour are you going for?

I've been meaning to do it for ages now and thought this time I'll just do it. I'm just going to go with black

its amazing what can happen when the sun comes out...I myself will be painting the engine bay but again not sure if I should go with the same colour I want the car or just plain black.

Yes does help a lot.
I wasn't sure what colour I was going to do mine as not sure if keeping my car white or not yet so just went with a black bay

Looks like you got a great finish on there Jon 8)

Just noticed your Aerocatch pin positions as well. Are those extensions welded on to the chassis or bolted?

Cheers mate yeah really pleased with the result .

There welded onto the chassis. They had already been cut into the bonnet an were basically just for show so was the only at I could think of at the time to make them functional . They've been like that a couple of years now and are solid on there

 @ the thought of them being just for show! Yeah probably the best solution :)

Engine back in just the exhaust manifold to fit after I've heat wrapped it and radiator then it's ready to fire up .
Covered up some of the freshly painted bay so I didn't scratch it.
Here's a few pics
