The VW Camper
Well i posted a small post on LB but as everyone has jumped ship thought i would set up this thread also.
Found on gumtree in need of updating and an engine conversion.
So let the stripping commence (in a non sexual manner)
this was a ridiculous wiring set up (the earth had melted)
some hammerite and rust treatment on the far panel
new flooring
the engine as we had it handed to us
Some insulation
we have since put the engine in on the mounts just need autodata to work on this computer before can see the wiring
some re-upholstering and replacment bench

Re: The VW Camper
just a quick update on the camper. id did eventually sit for most of last year hybernating but have made some moves to get her going again
well the engine was put in place last year it no has all the pipes in place
i did get a decent weekend and wanted to fix the leak from the sun trap on the roof so cleaned her and removed the suntrap to find the wood was all rotten so that was replaced the roof was sealed and proper wood screws used. here is some before and afters. this took a good few hours though
so she looked a heck of a lot better when cleaned
have just bought some new parts to get the engine up and running and some extras that were found on the hunt.
inner cv joint, clutch, expansion tank, spiggot bearing (removes unnecessary vibrations), large vw badge and some chrome and wood window winders.
