front damage would have been bonnet, bumper, lights and slam panel and rear end boot, bumper ;)

the gap between the rear bumper and quater is not set right so worth having a look at the crashbar to see if that is still slightly bent.

have you checked log book to make sure it was not cat c?

I was thinking previous accident too after I saw it was a JDM with UKDM stuff on it. if its not been declared a cat C or whatever. check the bootwell where the spare tyre is for creases. Make sure the cars still straight.

Quite often imports simply had their clocks swapped over to UK clocks as part of the conversion. Auto clocks work in a manual, so if it was to hand it would have been used.

Also looks to either have a short shifter or sawn-off shifter.

If you pop over in it to collect the front bumper Adam we can have a look over it to see if we can find out what's happened if you like.

i wouldn't bother spending the money on all the JDM stuff, kinda defeats the point of getting it so cheap ;-) plus i wouldn't pile money into it if it has been a write off. Just enjoy it :-)

The JDM stuff does look better but still looks nice with the UKDM stuff so its worth weighing it up.

But that's only my opinion and its your car so your choice of course :-)

You could say the same about my £100 3rd gen, but that's much easier said than done ;-)

I've done it myself in the past to be honest, just seems a waste of money to swap perfectly good bumpers etc just for the sakes of it. A lot of it depends on how much the JDM stuff costs too because he might as well of bought a nice condition JDM Lude in the first place. I can understand what you are doing because it was a tatty car when you bought it so the work needed doing really and i can definitely condone modifications too

Like i say this is all just my opinion and i am also known not to take my own advice, just making him think a little :-P

But then in theory Adam's just wanting to return his car to standard.

Regarding the dials, yeah, totally wrong. So I've reserved a tach unit from Ziyaan as one of the items I'll be ordering at the end of the month.

That would be useful if peeps want to have a look at the car when I go to collect the bumper. Then we can see if anything's wrong with it.

Regarding the mods, I look at them as an investment. I had planned on just burning this car round for the summer while I saved up for a Gen5, then throwing it away. But when I discovered what it was, it suddenly became worth pursuing. There would be no point ruding up a uk spec to any real degree imo, cos you're always going to be 15bhp behind. But with this one, if I find I can't get the bodywork up to the desired standard, I will already have all the best parts I need to transplant into a tidier shell. Winner. Everyone loves a project too!
