Shocked! at MPG

Post by Dbo » Sun Mar 24, 2013 10:33 pm

Mrs Dbo wanted to go to Biester Outlets Village today ;) Zero money at moment so played granny card

put £30 of V-Power in Saffy and set off the 90 miles there, did not exceed 60mph and under 3k rpm.
90 miles back and parked up with about £1 worth still left

so she did 30 miles to the gallon :P well shocked but :D

Iirc I got just over 40mpg when I drove back from buying my Prelude in Hampshire. I was driving at about 60 on cruise almost the whole way though, and accelerating slowly as I couldn't leave my girlfriend behind in the Mk2 Golf  never had anything over about 25-30mpg per tank since then

I've done 36mpg on a long motorway run from Bristol to Manchester before. They are good motorway cruisers :)
