IMO Royal Mail is fine for up to about 5kg, and convenient if you live near a post office. Heavy things are expensive, although I sent a clutch kit via Parcel Monkey for £8.

Royal Mail... I can't work out their prices.

I sent a Jiffy bag to JJ weighing <200g and A5 size, they wanted over £6 first class recorded.

I sent Ludedude a parcel weighing just under 400g and paid £3.70 first class recorded.
