Batteries do vary in size bud. You're best off getting a battery first and then get a tray made to measure ;-)

Have you looked into getting a lightweight battery? An Odyssey PC680 for example?

A PC680 start at about £80 on ebay, or an equivalent non-branded version of the same is £59.99 on ebay (Only difference is the terminals, but the Odyssey only has threaded holes as standard anyway)

A standard new battery is going to cost you the best part of £50 anyway if not more, so... ;-)

This is assuming you're sticking with the lightweight spec and not running a big-ass stereo and subs or anything?

You should be fine then bud. Like I said, the cheaper one has all the same specs, some better, but I've not seen it "proven" anywhere, where as the Odyssey one is used in lots of applications with great results.
