went to work for overtime as normal.
during my morning i was looking on the forum from my phone whilst on a fag break and Wiggs posted that this lude was up on the bay for a princely £1200.
"its overtime" i said to myself.
Bugger this im off. went home, told the wife "im off to Barnsley!.
£86 for a single train ticket from Chippenham, calling at Bristol, Sheffield and then Barnsley.
God i hope its as good as the seller Mark had said it was. if it wasn't, im stuck in Barnsley with no way of getting home, and i start the late shift at 2 pm the next afternoon.
so here are the pictures of the lude from the eBay ad.

after a very long journey i arrived in Barnsley at just gone 7pm, phoned mark and announced my arrival.
After about 10 mins, the most beautiful car pulls up over the crest of the hill leading to the station. "wow" what a looker!
what poise,
what a car.
I had a good look around it and, yes it needs a bit of work, cosmetically and mechanically.
mechanical
Engine idle is erratic, when cold. hunted high and low.
Air bag light is out and doesn't come on.
Handbrake/low fluid level light flicker on occasion although the fluid is ok.
Speedo needle drops to zero on occasions.
exterior
rear bumper needs paint or replacing with the proper one as Mark mentioned it had reversed into a caravan.
stone chips everywhere on the front.
front bumper has a crease
rear offside quarter has a small dent.
nearside rear quarter has a few scratches.
lower front splitter is creased and the paint is appalling.
interior
steering wheel is wrong for the s, looks like its a momo from an accord r.
drivers seat bolster sagging and seat base has a tear where the stitching has got worn.
stereo face keeps falling off.
boot torsion beams rattle as the clip is broken, sold the one i had to sailor.

you will see the issues but, all is not lost. the engine and box are very strong as is the gearbox with no crunching into gears at high rpm's.
its also got an itg panel filter, and act clutch and xact streetlite flywheel fitted. and civic sport alloys
