get a blow torch and warm the outer exhaust pipe to expand the metal, then your puller should work. not too hot though as you do not want to damage the pipe.

Sounds like you want a slide-hammer bud. One long enough so that you can hook it over the narrow end (the end furthest in the backbox) and then tap it out.

Do you not like the sound with it in then?

Thanks Nathan, I wish... but I haven't got it all fitted yet, I was testing the fitting of my new decat from 106pete on the floor, and I wanted to test fit the bung so it was ready in case I needed it.

Thing is the bung's smaller baffle has a solid end (not like all of them I've seen) so only the perforated smaller tube is visible from the tail pipe. I cant put anything through to pull it / tap it out from the back!!!

I've tried to wire a cable with about 8 thick copper wires to the baffle and then pull it out - and it wont budge!! The wires just snap.

I did tap it in with a small hammer to the point where the holes for the bolt lines up, but I realise now it shouldn't be that tight.. It should be slideable hence the supplied bolt.
