There's a lot of schpeal on the net (from some slightly more reliable sources) and they all back it off a quarter turn after it's maxxed out. I am of course not saying you are wrong! Just that is what I have heard/read/seen. ;)

How far the FITV is screwed in determines the cold idle speed of the car, and should be set at factory for the climate the car is to be sold in, I think that this is why Honda do not recommend that it is adjusted.

The further in, the lower the cold idle speed, for the UK, lower (as far as you can go) is probably better, less likely to undo itself, and save a little fuel when cold starting.

I used threadlock on one about 8 years ago, did not like where I had set it and ended up destroying it trying to readjust. PTFE tape may be better in preventing it undoing itself in the future.

Just re-read what I wrote Sam, and that's a classic example of why I said I need to be careful what I wrote! When I said "from some slightly more reliable sources", I didn't mean more reliable than you   I meant more reliable than the hearsay forum gumph you quite often find on a lot of the American forums ;-) Just wanted to clarify that ;-)

Oh and another thing. I know where you live. I am going to come over and steal your makeshift paint booth and use it myself.
