Go to the SWAPS tab and behold all the info you need.

Alright matey, I'm only just starting to look into the possibility of a 3rd Gen. I need to find out what the deal is with changing from auto to manual, & how much it is likely to cost to sort out the rust before it gets any worse.

What model is this? Bhp? 2.0L 4ws?

2.0 16v, ba5 137 bhp standard. 127bhp on dyno, but as rich at paw confirmed is dificult to get an accurate reading on an auto.
tbh it will need the same welding as nathan had on his. so both lower rear sill and jacking point areas.

auto to manual is easy buddy change the auto flex plate to a flywheel add a clutch and a clutch cover plate change the gearbox to manual source the gearchange cables and shifter and pedals swap em over with the clutch master and slave cylinder and bobs your fanny or something like that

of course that's hugely simplified but its not much more

Sweet. Is that something a group of enthusiasts could do over a weekend, or does one need a ramp for such activities?
