No welding, but a large amount of fiberglass in the inside to stop any sinking, and if it sinks, I will fix it :)

well since ive been working on the wifes civic the past few weeks a though... time to do something on the lude 8-)

so started on the re wiring and re routing

first of on the list was the fuse box relocation ! :D
the wires will be going from the underdash fuse box location, as thats where the hole into the wing is, and going under the steering column

and then coming through the center section where the glovebox would be.. and as you can see.. PLENTY of length untill its time to join the plugs! better safe than sorry 8-)

I cut the glovebox with a dremel and a fine cutting attachment, i then drilled a few small holes for the screws and attached the fusebox

done a wee test fit.. but i forgot to take pictures of the part you need to cut away underneath
its not an important part, just plactic that the fusebox was hitting, you do however have to squish the heater tube thingy majig a little bit to get it on but apart from that.. its a very good fit ! :D

ive not got it pluged in yet, we didnt have long to work on it today but 2 out of 4 plugs are extended and wired up :)

Jesus couldn't imagine the stress with this build. I couldn't bare it. Have you got a way of remembering where each of the wires are going to?

Im sure auto sparks just shrug their shoulders when you compliment them but its an art in itself, and they dont seem to use wiring diagrams ...mad . Given the level of the build Lucas do you have it written down which order you are doing it or is it all in your head
Its a work in progress
