Rear Brake Disks

Post by BMCC » Thu Sep 05, 2013 8:46 am

Unfortunately I need to renew the rear disk on my 1998 5th Gen, Eurocar parts don't have any stock and Honda want £130 for a pair. Has anybody bought rear disks lately for a 5th Gen, if so where did you get them and are they any good?

I've had two sets of Mtec discs now. Rear's on my forth and a full set on my Aerodeck which I then transferred over to my 3rd gen. Great prices and OEM quality. They supposedly make discs for UK car manufacturers as well. I know Rob (@Nucleustylzlude) has run them with no complaints as well...

I use MTEC's as well, haven't had any problems with them. Nearly as good as Black Diamond and way better than EBC, in my opinion.

MTEC black edition look nice.

Cheers for the info, I've looked at the MTECs put they only do grooved and drilled disks for the rear of the car! Seems a bit extreme? An option though.

They look cool though. Also once they're on you then have an excuse to get front's to match :)

Send them an email. (mintbitz@yahoo.com) I messaged them and got a better price for a full set, but usually you specify whether you want drilled, grooved or both, and I'm pretty sure plain was an option, so an enquiry wouldn't go a miss :)

+1 to vanzep. I have some saved in my eBay, when I get to a PC I'll have a proper look and put the link up.

Okay my bad, I saved the wrong gen  user is autoperformanceonline and has discs/pads for what seems like everything apart from 5G rears

The 8th gen Accord 2.2 uses the same spec rear disc though and they are listed (260x10?).
